So much for any quarterback drama making its way into Round 2 after six of them were taken in the first 12 picks on Thursday night. That foretold a first round that saw 23 of 32 selections spent on offensive players, meaning Round 2 is set up for the defense.

There is plenty for teams at the top of the round to choose from: cornerbacks Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cooper DeJean, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. and Kamari Lassiter, as well as defensive tackle Jer'Zhan Newton and edge Marshawn Kneeland.

The wide receiver-needy Buffalo Bills, who twice traded back Thursday night to teams that drafted, you guessed it, wide receivers — including their AFC rival Kansas City Chiefs — lead things off. Fortunately for the Bills, WRs Keon Coleman, Adonai Mitchell and Ladd McConkey remain available.

The Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans each have two picks in the second round. Washington has the fourth and eighth picks in the second.
