2024 NFL Week 11: Expert Picks, Predictions For Every Game
There might not be a better slate of NFL action than Week 11.
There are fantastic matchups all week long with some huge playoff implications. Plus, we could see an AFC Championship preview between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Which teams will emerge victorious in Week 11?
Here are our predictions for every game going into the week:
NFL Week 11 Expert Picks
Washington Commanders (7-3) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2)
Spread: Eagles -3.5
Total: 49
This might be the best Thursday Night Football game of the year, with the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles meeting for first place in the NFC East. Washington lost a tight game against Pittsburgh in Week 10, but they should be getting back Brian Robinson Jr. and Andrew Wylie for this contest.
However, Philadelphia just has far too much talent on both sides of the ball, and its ability to convert short-yardage situations could be the difference in this game. Look for this to be a high-scoring contest in Philadelphia, but for the Eagles to win outright and start to pull away from the Commanders in the division.
Score Prediction: Eagles 28, Commanders 24
Baltimore Ravens (7-3) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2)
Spread: Ravens -3
Total: 48.5
This game is almost too good for a 1:00 PM kickoff, but the 7-2 Pittsburgh Steelers will host the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens in a game that could decide the AFC North. Sportsbooks aren’t giving Pittsburgh much respect going into this game, as they are a 3-point home dog to the Ravens.
Pittsburgh has done a fantastic job of slowing down Lamar Jackson in the past, and the Steelers' offense has been fantastic since the return of Russell Wilson. With Baltimore’s pass defense continuing to be a major problem, take the Steelers and the points in Week 11. This will be a close game, but we like the Steelers to win outright and improve their lead on the Ravens in the division.
Score Prediction: Steelers 24, Ravens 23
Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) vs. Miami Dolphins (3-6)
Spread: Dolphins -7.5
Total: 44.5
The Miami Dolphins are back in the AFC Wild Card hunt, and they have a favorable schedule upcoming, with their two games against the Bills already in the books. Still, this could be a trap game for several different reasons. They played on the West Coast on Monday Night Football in a pretty physical game and will now play at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a bye and will have a new coordinator (Scott Turner) in Week 11. The Dolphins should be big favorites in this game, but be wary of the spread in this game. We like the Dolphins to win, but in a tight game.
Score Prediction: Dolphins 23, Raiders 20
Green Bay Packers (6-3) vs. Chicago Bears (4-5)
Spread: Packers -6.5
Total: 41.5
The meetings between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears don’t need any added storylines, but we got one this week with the Bears firing Shane Waldron after an ugly performance against the Patriots.
Thomas Brown is the new offensive coordinator, and he’ll have a tall task against Green Bay, which is excellent at creating turnovers this year. The Packers getting 6.5 points feels a bit high, but they should win this game in Chicago. Take the Packers in a low-scoring contest in this bitter NFC North rivalry game.
Score Prediction: Packers 23, Bears 17
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) vs. Detroit Lions (8-1)
Spread: Lions -13
Total: 47.5
Imagine telling fans of the Detroit Lions just two years ago that they would be 13-point favorites in any single game. That’s where we are with the Lions, who have established themselves as the clear-cut No. 1 team in the NFC.
They were able to win against an AFC contender despite Jared Goff throwing five interceptions in three quarters. They are the most balanced team in the league and should have no problem putting away the Jacksonville Jaguars, who will likely be without Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) again. Take the Lions to win big on Sunday and cover this massive spread.
Score Prediction: Lions 31, Jaguars 16
Cleveland Browns (2-7) vs. New Orleans Saints (3-7)
Spread: Saints -1
Total: 44.5
Jameis Winston returns to New Orleans in Week 11, with the Cleveland Browns coming off a much-needed bye week. Will Cleveland look different after the bye, and can the offense finally get going? That is what we will be looking for in this matchup between two non-playoff teams for the 2024 season.
The New Orleans Saints are favored, and they are coming off an impressive upset against the Falcons. However, with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed out for the remainder of the 2024 season, it’s hard to see the Saints generating much offense in this game. Take the Browns to get their third win of the season in a low-scoring contest in New Orleans.
Score Prediction: Browns 20, Saints 17
Indianapolis Colts (4-6) vs. New York Jets (3-7)
Spread: Jets -3.5
Total: 44
This was supposed to be the battle of two 39-year-old quarterbacks, but the Indianapolis Colts benched Joe Flacco for Anthony Richardson Wednesday. That at least adds some excitement on the Colts' end, as they were one of the league’s worst offenses during the last two games.
The Colts and New York Jets had playoff aspirations going into this year, but the last month has been rough for both sides. The biggest disappointment for the Jets has been their defense, which has fallen off this year. Considering that this spread is so big, take the Colts plus the points. This is truly a toss-up game, but the ground attack of Indianapolis should help them to win on Sunday.
Score Prediction: Colts 23, Jets 20
Minnesota Vikings (7-2) vs. Tennessee Titans (2-7)
Spread: Vikings -6
Total: 39.5
Will Levis returned to the starting lineup in Week 11 and had a decent outing against the Los Angeles Chargers. But it won't get much easier for him against the Minnesota Vikings this week. Brian Flores loves nothing more than to blitz young quarterbacks, and the Tennessee Titans' offensive line might not be up to the challenge.
It’s always tough to bet against home dogs when they are getting six or more points, but betting on Levis against a top-ranked defense doesn’t seem wise, either. Stay away from the point spread, but expect the Vikings to rack up another win here.
Score Prediction: Vikings 23, Titans 18
Los Angeles Rams (4-5) vs. New England Patriots (3-7)
Spread: Rams -4.5
Total: 43.5
The season isn’t quite over for the Los Angeles Rams, but their loss to the Dolphins in Week 10 put a significant dent into their playoff hopes. Luckily for them, the NFC West isn’t all that strong, and they are only a few games out of the lead. But if they want to get back into the playoff mix, they’ll have to find a way to win on the road in Foxboro on a short week.
Drake Maye has looked really good the last few weeks, but this could be a tough matchup for him, as the Rams' defense has been excellent this year. Look for Jared Verse to have a huge game against the unproven tackles of the Patriots and for the Rams to get a much-needed road win.
Score Prediction: Rams 26, Patriots 20
Seattle Seahawks (4-5) vs. San Francisco 49ers (5-4)
Spread: 49ers -6.5
Total: 50.5
These two teams squared off just a few weeks ago when the San Francisco 49ers beat the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. Now, the 49ers have a chance to bury the Seahawks in the NFC West with a win on Sunday.
However, the 49ers' offense continues to be off despite getting healthier on that side of the ball. However, it should have no problem moving the ball against the Seahawks in Week 11, who have been torched by good offenses all year long.
Can Geno Smith and the Seahawks score enough points to hang around in this game? They certainly have the weapons to do so and should be fresh coming out of their Week 10 bye, but we like the 49ers to win and cover on Sunday.
Score Prediction: 49ers 27, Seahawks 20
Atlanta Falcons (6-4) vs. Denver Broncos (5-5)
Spread: Broncos -2
Total: 44
If the Denver Broncos want to make the playoffs in the AFC, this is a must-win game. At 5-5, their schedule gets tough in the next few months, and they need to take care of business at home. They are favored against the Atlanta Falcons, but it’s hard to predict what version of Atlanta we will get in this contest.
Denver’s defense has been outstanding this season, and it should keep the score down. Can Bo Nix and the Broncos find a way to score 20 or more points? That could be tough. Take the Falcons plus the points in Week 11 and expect them to get a bounce-back win on the road.
Score Prediction: Falcons 23, Broncos 17
Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) vs. Buffalo Bills (8-2)
Spread: Bills -2.5
Total: 45.5
The 8-2 Buffalo Bills hosting the 9-0 Kansas City Chiefs might be the game of the season. The Chiefs have managed to escape the last few weeks against average teams, but they need to play a much better game in order to beat the Bills in Buffalo.
Both teams have massive leads in their respective division, but this game probably means more to the Bills for their confidence moving forward. Look for the Bills to use Josh Allen’s legs more in this game to beat Kansas City’s defense and, ultimately, get the win in Buffalo on Sunday, ending the Chiefs' winning streak.
Score Prediction: Bills 26, Chiefs 20
Cincinnati Bengals (4-6) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (6-3)
Spread: Chargers -1.5
Total: 46.5
There are so many important games this weekend, and the Sunday Night Football contest between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers is near the top of the list. The Bengals sit at 4-6 and need a win to get back into the AFC Wild Card hunt, and the Chargers are one of the teams they're chasing. Los Angeles is 6-3 and looks like one of the conference's top sleepers.
Both quarterbacks are playing outstanding football right now, but it’s the Chargers who have the No. 1 ranked scoring defense. Meanwhile, Cincinnati’s defense has been exposed all season, and this will be a brutal matchup for them again on Sunday. Take the Chargers to win outright and improve to 7-3, solidifying their spot in the AFC playoff hunt.
Score Prediction: Chargers 28, Bengals 23
Houston Texans (6-4) vs. Dallas Cowboys (3-6)
Spread: Texans -7.5
Total: 42
The Battle for Texas will feature two slumping teams on Monday night.
The Dallas Cowboys couldn't even pass for 50 yards against the Eagles, and the offense was completely shut down. Meanwhile, the Houston Texans lost a game (at home!) despite intercepting Jared Goff five times in the first three quarters.
Their offense did not score a single point in the second half and lost on a last-second field goal. This should be a get-right game for Houston, as their defense should be able to win this game outright. And with the likely return of Nico Collins and Will Anderson Jr., look for the Texans to get back on track in Week 11.
Score Prediction: Texans 27, Cowboys 13
