Laveranues Coles is a former Pro Bowl NFL Wide Receiver and current member of The 33rd Team. He played for the New York Jets, Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals across his 11-year NFL career, accruing 674 catches for 8,609 yards and 49 touchdowns.

Who is your biggest mentor?
Tyler Perry
What did you do on the night of your draft in 2000?
I spent the draft with my family and coaches from high school at my grandparents home in Jacksonville, FL.
What’s your favorite play of your career and why?
The first touchdown of my career during my rookie season because it sparked the comeback in the Monday Night Miracle against the Dolphins.
What piece of advice would you give your younger self?
Ask more questions and develop better relationships with people who don’t gain anything from being your friend.
If you could invite any three people in history to dinner, who would they be and why?
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali and Freida Robinson. They all have been instrumental in me being where I am today. Dr King and Ali have been great activist and also has paved the way for people of color to have a voice. Ms. Robinson help me by pointing out my areas of weakness and challenging me to improve in those areas.
