Cassel goes over what he liked from Brady in Tampa Bay's preseason finale against Indianapolis Saturday night. In his only series, Brady was 6-of-8 for 44 yards and led the Buccaneers to a field goal. It was a performance that impressed Cassel.
What impressed him more, however, was that Brady found a different receiver with every completion and looked as ageless as ever competing in a game he didn't even need to play.
There were some who thought he shouldn't have played in this one, after missing 11 days with the Buccaneers for personal reasons. After Saturday night's game, Brady talked for the first time on leaving camp.
"It's all personal. Everyone's got different situations they're dealing with," Brady said. "We all have really unique challenges to our life. I'm 45 years old, man. There's a lot of s--- going on. Just gotta try to figure out life the best you can. It's a continuous process."
When asked if he was in a better place now, Brady ensured Buccaneers fans that he was.
"I'm ready to go," he said.
