Jets' Breece Hall out for the Year With Torn ACL
New York Jets running back Breece Hall tore his ACL during Sunday's win against the Denver Broncos and will miss the rest of the season, according to ESPN.
"He's a heck of a football player," coach Robert Saleh said postgame. "When you lose great football players, it's not good."
It now appears the Jets will be without Hall for the remainder of the season. Hall went down late in the second quarter after being tackled by multiple Broncos defenders near the left sideline. At the time of the injury, he'd just rushed for a 62-yard touchdown to give the Jets an early 7-0 lead. The Jets ended up winning the game 16-9, improving their 2022 record to 5-2.
The Jets maintained their hold on second place in the AFC East following their win. The first-place Buffalo Bills, meanwhile, were on a bye this week.

New York will take on the rival New England Patriots on Sunday in Week 8 at home but will be doing so without their breakout offensive star. Instead, the Jets will look to former fourth-round pick Michael Carter to pick up where Hall left off.
Through just seven games played — only two of them starting — Hall had amassed 681 yards from scrimmage and five total touchdowns. He had become a leading player in conversations surrounding the league's Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Hall was drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Iowa State after an impressive collegiate career and stellar combine performance.
