Double-digit weeks mean it’s almost time for fantasy football playoffs.

The battle to make the final bracket is on and each choice you make can make the difference between victory and defeat. It’s incumbent upon you to be as informed as possible if you want to come out on the winning end of matchups. The work doesn’t stop now.

Luckily, only four teams are on the bye in Week 11:

  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Carolina Panthers
  • New York Giants
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Managers won’t have too many major superstars missing from the equation this week, although the absences of players like Kyler Murray or Malik Nabers will still be felt. But that’s the game you signed up to play.

If you’re ready to take on the challenge, let’s hop into the Week 11 positional rankings:

Quick Takeaways

  • Unlike past weeks, this week doesn’t strike me as one with a deep set of quarterbacks that managers can confidently start. My “green zone,” or portion of the list, where I’m comfortable with playing a specific player, goes down only to QB13 (Patrick Mahomes) in Week 11.
  • The impending return of a healthy Nico Collins might be just what the doctor ordered for C.J. Stroud. This is a unit that’s significantly better when Collins is around, and here’s just one morsel of evidence to back that up. Per TruMedia, the Texans’ offense ranked fifth in offensive throw EPA (48.15) in Weeks 1 through 5 before Collins succumbed to a hamstring injury. In five games without their superstar wideout, the team falls all the way down to 21st in the NFL in offensive throw EPA (18.43). It’s truly a night and day difference, and I anticipate Stroud bouncing back in short order.
  • In the past five games, Justin Herbert has really started to cook. He ranks as the QB10 in fantasy points per game (18.3) in four-point per passing touchdown scoring, per FantasyData, all while touting 262.2 passing yards per game and a nice dollop of weekly rushing contributions (18.6 yards per game). Week 10 vs. the Tennessee Titans was also the first game Herbert played with fewer than 25 pass attempts since Week 3, although we can attribute some of that lack of volume to the fact that this game ceased being competitive early in the fourth quarter.
  • Since becoming the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starting quarterback in Week 7, Russell Wilson is averaging 245.7 passing yards and two touchdowns per game, amounting to 18.9 fantasy points per game. The rapport between himself and WR George Pickens is beginning to pay major dividends for fantasy managers. In Week 11, the former Super Bowl champion will square off against a Baltimore Ravens secondary that ranks 25th in pass defense DVOA this season, according to FTN. This rivalry spot should be ripe for Wilson to continue his success.
  • It may be time for Indianapolis Colts coach Shane Steichen to admit his mistake. Veteran Joe Flacco has been abysmal during the past two weeks as the starter, ranking 27th in adjusted net yards per pass attempt (3.75) and 28th in EPA per dropback (-0.23). I’m not here to suggest that Anthony Richardson would be doing much better in these circumstances, but it’s vital to give reps to a player who’s started 23 games dating back to his college days in 2021 — just a thought.

Quick Takeaways

  • It’s great to have Christian McCaffrey back in action. Per Fantasy Points Data, Week 10 saw CMC play on 86.9 percent of the team’s offensive snaps en route to receiving 19 total touches and logging 107 scrimmage yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whatever Achilles tendonitis issues he had are behind him; we’ve got vintage bell cow McCaffrey already.
  • Speaking of the Buccaneers, their Pro Bowl LT Tristan Wirfs is reportedly dealing with an MCL sprain that leaves his status as “week-to-week.” A possible absence could dramatically affect the offensive line and, therefore, the potential effectiveness of RBs Rachaad White and Bucky Irving, but the team is luckily headed into a bye week. This is more of a note for the future.
  • As was discussed in this week’s waiver article, Audric Estime may be on the ascent. The ex-Notre Dame standout handled a team-leading 14 carries for 53 rushing yards in this past Sunday’s loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. No other back on the roster received more than three touches in the contest. Estime still has a ways to go until we can call this a breakout. He only registered a 45.5 percent snap share and ran route on just 9.1 percent of offensive plays. Javonte Williams is still more involved as a pass-catching option, but we’ll see how this story unfolds in Week 11. Estime is worth picking up across all formats.
  • For what it’s worth, Kyren Williams is seeing a fascinating bump in receiving work of late. During the past three weeks, the former fifth-round pick has logged a 66.4 percent route participation with a total of 16 targets in that window. It’s not a major discovery or anything, but this elevated responsibility does make him all the more appealing in point-per-reception (PPR) scoring formats.
  • Not to sound alarmist, but the cushy workhorse role that J.K. Dobbins became accustomed to in this Chargers’ offense is dwindling with the return of teammate Gus Edwards. Across the three fully healthy games Edwards has played in 2024 (Week 1-2, 10), Dobbins only accounts for a 38.2 percent share of the backfield carries and a 57.4 percent snap share. In all other games, those totals increase to 63.5 and 72.5 percent in each measure, as mentioned earlier for Dobbins. This is more of a “food for thought” exercise than anything, and perhaps even a tacit suggestion that Edwards could carry standalone value as a fantasy asset.
  • As painful as it may be to admit, it’s possible that Nick Chubb's best days are fully behind him. The former fantasy stalwart is netting a meager 39.7 scrimmage yards on 16 touch opportunities (carries + targets) per game since debuting in Week 7 after a lengthy recovery from a knee injury. Granted, the Browns’ offense has its own set of issues, but even backup Jerome Ford performed marginally better than this to open the 2024 campaign. If anything, you’re just starting Chubb as a “hope he scores a touchdown” flex from here on out.

Quick Takeaways

  • As promised in my waiver wire article this week, here are some of the advanced data points for 49ers rookie pass-catcher Ricky Pearsall in the past three games, including Week 10: 73.0 percent route participation, 16.1 percent target share, and a 1.63 yards per route run. Rather impressive!
  • The Dallas Cowboys’ offense is in a free fall, and Dak Prescott is now set for season-ending hamstring surgery. Backup Cooper Rush was simply awful in Week 10 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles, and the limited look we got at Trey Lance didn’t go much better either.
  • CeeDee Lamb might be the only usable asset left for fantasy managers on this team. While this past Sunday didn’t go particularly well, now seems like a good time to remind folks how effective Lamb still can be with Rush in tow.
  • Despite playing in one of the NFL’s weakest offenses, Calvin Ridley might just be unstoppable. Across the last three weeks, without former teammate DeAndre Hopkins around, the former first-round pick ranks second among receivers in air yards share (52.9 percent) and first in target share (34.0 percent), all while producing a robust 20.1 PPR points per game.
  • Since picking up a chest injury a couple of weeks ago, Brian Thomas Jr. has been struggling. Indeed, the team's pivoting to backup QB Mac Jones in light of Trevor Lawrence’s ailing left shoulder has not helped matters, but regardless, Thomas Jr. is averaging just two receptions and 17 receiving yards per game in his previous two games. Unless Lawrence makes his way back before the year’s end, the breakout campaign for the former LSU standout could end.

Quick Takeaways

  • Here, we will cover a couple of key injuries. Potentially, being without two of the best at the position in Week 11 would shift how I'd rank/cover these guys for fantasy purposes, so here's to hoping that logic is sufficient enough for a brief closing section.
  • Dalton Kincaid (knee) exited and didn’t return in Week 10 vs. the Colts this past Sunday. The following day, head coach Sean McDermott said, “We’ll see how he fares the next couple of days,” per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic. Kincaid’s status will be worth monitoring.
  • Sam LaPorta picked up a shoulder sprain against the Houston Texans, although head coach Dan Campbell is “hopeful” that the second-year pass-catcher will be able to suit up for Week 11.
