NFL's 5 Best Prop Bets To Consider In Week 2
Looking for some prop bets for Week 2? The 33rd Team has you covered.
Week 2 prop bets come with a little bit of data after one week of the 2024 NFL season. While there aren't any trends to pick up on from a single week of games, that also means that the betting markets are still trying to calibrate on their end while waiting for more data.
Here are five of the best prop bets for Week 2, from some simple over/under props to some longer odds with good value.

5 NFL Week 2 Prop Bets
Malik Nabers Anytime TD (+145)
The New York Giants did not look like a competent football team in Week 1, but their offense should be able to score points against the Washington Commanders.
Washington's defense looked legitimately bad in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. According to FTN Fantasy, the Commanders posted the 31st passing defense by DVOA in the first week of the season.
Rookie WR Malik Nabers should continue to see a healthy target share going forward. He was targeted seven times with five receptions for 66 yards. The Commanders don't have a cornerback who can match Nabers' size and explosiveness, so he'll have a chance at finding the end zone for his first career touchdown on Sunday.
Josh Allen Under 36.5 rushing yards (-113)
Betting on Josh Allen not to run the ball sounds counterintuitive, but there's a good reason for it in Week 2.
Allen ran for 39 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Buffalo's Week 1 win against the Arizona Cardinals. He also suffered an injury to his non-throwing hand on his second touchdown after hurdling over a defender and landing on the hand.
Although Allen told reporters that he felt fine, he also admitted he needed to be more careful when running the ball going forward.
While Allen should still be considered a threat to go for the end zone with his legs, he may be a bit more strategic with when to take off in Week 2 after his injury scare last Sunday.
AMon-Ra St. Brown first TD Scorer (+800)
First touchdown scorer prop bets come with a bit more risk but a much higher reward.
Amon-Ra St. Brown had one of the quietest games of his NFL career on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams. He caught just three passes for 13 yards, failing to find the end zone as the Rams planned to shut him down the whole game.
Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson will want to keep their superstar receiver happy by feeding him the ball early and often this week. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a talented defense but won't have their best defensive back in Antoine Winfield Jr., who is expected to miss multiple weeks with an ankle injury.
Johnson will be trying to scheme up ways to expose Tampa Bay's secondary with Winfield on the sideline. Look for an early shot play on one of the Lions' early drives to get St. Brown open for a touchdown.
Jaylen Waddle 30+ Yard Reception (+150)
The Miami Dolphins are all about shot plays. That trend should continue on Thursday night against a division rival, the Buffalo Bills.
Tyreek Hill will get his explosive plays but don't sleep on Jaylen Waddle to get them, too. Waddle looked healthy and explosive in Week 1, catching five passes for 109 yards, including a 63-yard shot to get the Dolphins in scoring position.

The Bills were 28th in defensive DVOA against No. 2 receivers in 2023, according to FTN Fantasy. Rasul Douglas was a strong pickup for the secondary at the trade deadline last year. Still, the Bills don't have another impact corner that can handle Waddle's speed, especially if Buffalo wants to focus on containing Hill.
Ceedee Lamb 2+ TDs (+550)
It's time for CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott to put on a show.
The Dallas Cowboys gave out market-setting contracts to both players this offseason. Lamb received a four-year, $136 million deal that included a $38 million signing bonus, the most ever given to a receiver.
Lamb was targeted 10 times against the Cleveland Browns but caught just five of those targets for 61 yards and zero touchdowns. That target share indicates the Cowboys want to get Lamb the ball as much as possible.
The New Orleans Saints present a tough challenge in the passing game thanks to a strong secondary featuring Marshon Lattimore, Alontae Taylor, and Tyrann Mathieu. That won't stop Prescott from trying to force-feed Lamb, especially after the superstar wideout could not find the end zone against Cleveland.
Look for plenty of targets to go Lamb's way, and if things break right, he could score a couple of touchdowns.
