The Pittsburgh Steelers made a splash signing late on Saturday, adding guard Isaac Seumalo on a three-year deal to bolster one of the weakest offensive lines in the league.

The deal, initially reported by theScore, is for $24 million, placing Seumalo just outside the 10 highest-paid players at his position in the NFL.

Seumalo continues to reside in the Keystone State, having spent his seven NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has battled injuries throughout his career, but is coming off a 2022 campaign in which he played in all 20 of the Eagles' games and saw over 1,200 snaps. That was only his second season playing in every game, and he made only 12 starts the previous two seasons combined.

Pittsburgh is hoping he can continue his run of good health on the other side of the state, and immediately take on a starting role in a line that has been bolstered by free agency for the second consecutive season. Last year, the Steelers added James Daniels and Mason Cole on three-year deals, and both started all 17 games for them.

Seumalo will join them to comprise the interior of the team's line in 2023, bumping three-year pro Kevin Dotson out of the lineup. He is not the first addition to the team's line this offseason. Pittsburgh signed Nate Herbig to a two-year deal on Tuesday.
