The Friday Five: Shea Patterson
Shea Patterson is a quarterback for the Michigan Panthers of the USFL and was the first overall draft pick of the inaugural USFL draft. After an illustrious collegiate career at Ole Miss and Michigan, Patterson attended the Senior Bowl before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as an Undrafted Free Agent. He spent time with the BC Lions and Montreal Alouettes of the CFL before turning his attention toward the USFL.
We caught up with Shea for this week's Friday Five...
Who is your biggest mentor?
My biggest mentors right now are Jim Harbaugh, Greg Harden and Claiborne Green.
What are you most looking forward to about playing in the USFL?
What is the most important that that you learned from Jim Harbaugh?
What piece of advice would you give your younger self?
One piece of advice that I would give my younger self would be: Take it one day at a time and focus on living in the now. I say that because sometimes people get caught up in who they were or what they did in the past and even worry about what will happen in the future and that can distract you from what's right in front of you..every day is a gift so just realize that the joy of the journey is in the ride and Trust God's plan for you!
